Chesterton Academy

Chesterton Academy raises up virtuous young men and women in the Catholic tradition of faith and reason, centered on the truth of the Incarnation of our Lord Jesus Christ. Inspired by John Paul the Great, Chesterton Academy take as our motto “Cultura Vitae”, the culture of life. Chesterton Academy makes it their mission to prepare students to triumph over the materialism and despair that pervade our culture and to accept our Lord’s offer to have life and have it abundantly.

Chesterton Academy’s classical curriculum prepares students to lead and to succeed. Chesterton Academy prepares men and women for professional success not only because it wishes them well in life, but because it wants them positioned to transform the culture, to lead the nation, and to make all things new in Christ.

The classical curriculum passes on the fundamentals of the Western civilization, and trains up strong minds to analyze the great questions riving our culture, to recognize sound argument, and to expose cant and canard.

All freshmen study Latin; all students pursue four years of math and science with advanced placement available through Calculus II, and at least three years of a foreign language. Literature, history, and philosophy are taught at an advanced-placement level. Music, drama, and art, neglected at so many schools, are required for every student in all four years of Chesterton Academy.

Because the faith is at the core of the academic program, Chesterton Academy can teach all subjects through the lens of the Church. That endeavor is what makes Chesterton Academy unique. Religion at Chesterton Academy is not merely one academic subject among many. The truth is that the Faith is the central reality from which all academic disciplines flow and derive their meaning. As G. K. Chesterton once wrote, “Education is the soul of a society as it passes from one generation to the next.” It is the society of Christendom that Chesterton Academy strives to pass on.
